Description
Receptacle, Electrical, enclosed, 40 Amp, 450 VAC, 3 Phase, Grounded, without switch. Consists of a Symbol 758.2 receptacle installed in the cover of a brass enclosure (M24142/5-002) to provide watertight integrity (Submersible to 15 feet) when the cap, Symbol 1142.1 per MIL-R-2726/13, or mating plug are installed. Connection of up to AWG 10 wire is made directly to the removable pins of the receptacle by soldering. Per MIL-R-2726/16 and MIL-R-2726. NSN 5935-00-892-8971 is assigned to the Symbol 1147.1 which uses a metal-shell receptacle but may apply to this item which uses the plastic shell receptacle. They are interchangeable. Mates with Symbol 717.1 per MIL-R-2726/3.
