Description
Receptacle assembly, duplex, 15 amp, 125 volts, 60 Hz, totally enclosed, 2 pole with ground. Consists of a duplex receptacle with parallel bladed contacts plus ground contact, mounted in a 2x4x2-1/8" deep galvanized or zinc-plated drawn steel box having 7/8" diameter knockouts, 3 each side, 1 each end, 2 or 3 on the bottom. The receptacle color is brown and it has nickle-plated ground contacts and mounting strap for corrosion resistance. The galvanized or zinc-plated cover is stamped with the voltage, amperage and frequency rating and filled with red enamel. NSNs 5935-01-012-3080 and 5935-01-267-1055 have been assigned to this item. Covered under various specs and standards such as MIL-R-2726/66, 9-S-73980, 803-5184170 and others. This unit is designed for surface mounting through holes in the bottom of the box. May also be furnished with 3/8-16 female threaded studs for single stud mounting or with tabs for flush mounting. It is also available in aluminum or brass for non-magnetic applications.
